Concentrated programming course for automation engineers

In this 5-day course, you will gain a fundamental understanding of the structure and principles of the SattLine system.

SattLine is a Distributed Control System (DCS) that has been used for many years for management, monitoring and data collection of production facilities. It is widely used within several Danish process plants especially among the largest in the pharmaceutical industry.

After the course

After the course, you will be able to perform minor programming tasks on your own and also analyze and modify in advanced SattLine applications.

As a starting point, we have planned a relatively chronological course, but due to the dynamics of the teaching, there may be changes.

Teaching method

Teaching and course material will be in English but the course instructor is fluent in Danish so clarification can be done in Danish if needed.

The teaching takes place in modern course facilities with a computer for each participant as well as the use of an advanced teacher-student system.

The course will start out with lots of background and introduction to SattLine but will increasingly be based on exercises as the day’s progresses to ensure that all participants get lots of practical experience with SattLine. It is important for us to use exercises as well as inclusion of practical issues from the participants’ own everyday lives.

After the course we ask all our participant to fill out an evaluation so we can improve the course further.

  • Others who need to program in SattLine or participate in projects where there is a need to understand the functions and operation of the SattLine system.

Prerequisites for participating
There is no requirement for prerequisites to participate, but programming experience from other systems is an advantage, eg PLC programming, high-level programming or similar. In addition, it will be an advantage that you have experience from automation projects.

Johan is part of our automation team. He is an automation specialist who was one of the developers of the SattLine system in the 1990’s and he has decades of experience.

Price
The price for the course is DKK 29.500 (ex VAT) and covers 5 days of teaching incl. course material and catering.

Payment and payment types

The payment is debited from the payment card 14 days before the start of the course. We accept Visa Dankort, Visa and Mastercard.

 

Cancellation

Cancellations up to 30 days before the start of the course can be made without charge. In case of cancellation after 30 days and within 14 days before the start of the course, 50% of the price is paid. Cancellation later than 15 days before the start of the course, the full amount is paid.

Cancellations must be notified to kursus@confirm.dk.

Possible cancellation

Should Confirm be forced to cancel the party, the full amount will be refunded.
